Orthodontics

What is it for?

Orthodontic treatment’s aim is to gently guide your teeth into the correct position. This means that if you have uneven, misaligned, crooked or prominent teeth, we can help!

Do you offer invisible braces?

Yes, we provide a range of treatments, some of which are virtually invisible, so that you are the only person who knows that you are having orthodontic treatment.

Ceramic braces

Ceramic braces

Many people would like straighter teeth but not everybody feels comfortable wearing conspicuous metal braces.

Ceramic braces are a popular alternative since they are just as effective. Fixed ceramic brackets are bonded to each tooth and connected with an arch-wire. Sometimes the wire is also tooth-coloured (or ‘frosted’) so the entire appliance blends in with the teeth. but much less noticeable.

Metal braces

Metal braces

These are the metal brackets and wires that most people picture when they hear the word “braces.” However, modern brackets are smaller and less noticeable than the notorious “metal-mouth” braces that many adults remember. They work by attaching small brackets fitted to your teeth which are connected by an arch wire held in place by tiny locks.

Inman aligner

Inman aligner

The Inman Aligner is the perfect solution for crowding or protrusion of the front teeth. It is really efficient, very safe and great value. With the patented Inman Aligner, your front teeth can be gently guided to an ideal position in a matter of weeks. Most cases complete in 6-18 weeks and because it’s removable you can take it out to fit with your lifestyle.

Transparent braces

Transparent braces

Also known as clear aligners, Invisalign is a branded version of transparent braces. These are useful only in mild to moderate crowding and are most commonly used in cases needing alignment without extractions.

Patients need to consistently wear the aligners 22 to 23 hours per day, and only remove them to eat. The treatment duration is typically longer than the fixed techniques.  We provide an UK version of these aligners at our practice.
